Flayer
Born from endless jam sessions in a sun-faded garage outside Albuquerque, Flayer mixes the swampy grit of stoner rock with the crushing weight of modern doom. Their sound is equal parts fuzz and fury, a fusion of Sabbath worship and desert-worn swagger. The trio’s live shows are notorious for their wall-of-amp assault and trance-like grooves that lock audiences in for the long haul.

Stone Serpent Horizon (2025)
“Stone Serpent Horizon is a dusty, sun-scorched pilgrimage through Flayer’s stoner metal wasteland. Every track feels like a mirage that turns to steel in your hands—warm, shimmering, and then suddenly crushing. ‘Monolith Drifter’ crawls forward like a leviathan in the sand, while ‘Skyburner’ captures the heatstroke delirium of a long drive with nothing but endless road ahead. The title track is a 12-minute odyssey that rises from quiet, reverb-soaked ambience into a colossal fuzz-laden finale. This is the kind of album that demands to be played loud enough to shake the dust from your bones.”

Skyburner
A desert time-lapse starts serene, the sun bleeding into an orange horizon, until shimmering mirages twist into grotesque skeletal riders in the haze. As the track crescendos, the band plays atop a windswept dune surrounded by burning oil barrels, their silhouettes rippling in the heat.
