Ghosts Beneath the Crown
Formed in Portland’s damp underbelly, Ghosts Beneath the Crown weave oppressive sludge and cavernous doom into songs that drip with decay. Lyrically steeped in imagery of fallen empires, their music feels like being buried alive beneath a crumbling throne. Frontman Caleb Drummond’s voice shifts between spectral lament and a roar fit to topple battlements.

Sepulchered Majesty (2025)
“Ghosts Beneath the Crown’s Sepulchered Majesty doesn’t simply play — it engulfs. The guitars ooze with distortion thick enough to sink in, the bass hums like a crypt door groaning shut, and Clara Drummond’s voice commands like a spirit unbound. ‘Thrones of Ash’ is a dirge that grows heavier with every minute, while the title track’s 15-minute expanse feels like a slow-motion collapse of an empire in real time. The production is raw yet suffocating, wrapping each note in damp earth and candle smoke. This isn’t music you hear — it’s music you drown in.”

Thrones of Ash
Grainy black-and-white footage of a ruined castle slowly collapsing into fog. Between the debris and shadows, spectral figures flicker and vanish. The band, cloaked and drenched in rain, plays before the wreckage as torchlight flares and fades.
